Rebecca Kitching
Contemporary jewellery inspired and created by the interaction between a piece of jewellery and the wearer.
Handmade cogs and mechanisms crafted in oxidized silver to create tactile, playful items of wearable jewellery.
Pieces to satisfy your fidgeting needs and to emphasize and reflect your own individual personally.
"I started to realize how people tend to spend some time fidgeting with jewellery sometimes for comfort or just while day dreaming even if they realise it or not, I found this very interesting and it inspired me to create a collection of wearable jewellery that are also very tactile, pieces that want to be touched as well as looking ascetically pleasing".
Quirky and fun pieces with tiny movable parts, dials that when turned changes the Patten on the piece or textured elements so the end result is not only a decorative piece but a fun, interactive wearable piece of jewellery.
I have studied at York collage completing a ND + HND in 3D Design crafts and also studied at Sheffield hallam university completing a BA (Hons) in metalwork and jewellery and now I work in Sheffield were I have set up business within Yorkshire artspace studios".
